I would like to take a moment to complement and thank Jim Hardy for this great book and for all of those who made the book possible. I had been working on my swing lately and I decided that I needed to figure out a golf swing that would be simple, repeatable, powerful, and accurate. Unbeknownst to me, I was concentrating on bending over more at address and throughout my swing and swinging my arms around my chest more. I was on to something good and didn't quite know it yet. I think the thing that I eventually became so excited about was that I was actually trying some of the One Plane principles on my own and was not even aware of it. I was even up to the point of thinking to my self the analogy about great home run hitters in baseball and how simple and powerful their movements are. Then during an afternoon visit to Borders Bookstore, I was brousing through the golf section and randomly picked upon a copy of "The Plane Truth for Golfers." I flipped just by chance to one of the pages that was describing the similarities of a powerful baseball hitter's swing to that of a one plane golfer's swing. I almost hit the ceiling in excitement to see the thoughts that I was working at on the range the day before "verified" by a great instructor such as Jim Hardy, and such a world class professional, Peter Jacobson. Immediately I purchased the book and it has become my golf bible. I have seen an increase in distance, consistency, and confidence in my game as a result of studying this book and putting it's One Plane lessons into practice. But the most uncanny improvement that I can notice is the incredible accuracy with which I am now hitting the ball with, time after time. I'm referring to laser-like #3 hybrids from 200 yards out on long par 4's or par 5 holes to within birdie distance - unheard of in my prior golfing experience! Again, thanks for such a great and simple book, which makes an otherwise very complex game simple! - J. Combs

I am 63 years old and probably have over 600 books on golf instruction. I can now throw them all out. Thanks. - J. Thorton

It's hard to imagine that a DVD series can have such a profound impact on one's game, but I was one of those people sitting at home watching the infomercial not so long ago. I had been struggling with my game for a couple of years after taking a series of lessons from one of those other top 100 teachers and reading way to many instructional articles in the magazines. Frustrated, confused, and playing worse than before, I decided that I had nothing to lose in ordering The Plane Truth set, especially considering the guarantee. After watching the DVDs twice, so many things started making sense. I realized that when I started playing golf 7 years ago (I'm now 33), I was taught the one plane swing but had never been told that was the method. It also started to make sense why the other instructor's methods weren't working for me, and why so many of the tips I read in magazines just don't work for me. By working on Jim Hardy's one plane swing fundamentals, I have been able to get back and improve upon my 'natural' swing. After a few practice sessions my scores started to improve immediately, and more importantly golf had become enjoyable again!! I'm quite confident that with more practice I will continue to be happy with my game, and reach my personal goals.. - Dave T.

I received my DVDs and was amazed at the mistakes I had been making. I have been going to the same driving range for about 4 years and as you get to know guys they give you pointers. Looking back at some of the pointers I am amazed I could hit the ball as decent as I do. One guy was a 1 planer and he would give me tips, then another day another guy would give me pointers and he was a 2 plane. Sometimes they were giving me instructions at the same time. WHOOOW!! What a mess... I just got back from the range and I am a natural 2 plane swinger, I hit 90% of my balls in the direction I was aiming. If you are reading this and don't have the DVDs you are doing yourself a great amount of damage out on the range and the course. I am a 7 hdcp and will be dropping to a 0 in the near future. Jim, If you read this I would like to thank you for providing us with this excellent set of DVD's. - Dan in Ft. Lauderdale, FL

.............................

This dvd set is perfect. Easy to understand every thing Jim is teaching. The perfect information about swing plane 1 or 2 the best instruction you can get for the money. A must have for anyone who wants to hit the ball better right off the bat. I give it a perfect 10 - B.G.

.............................

I have purchased all kinds of books and DVDs to help me with my swing. Jim Hardy's The Plane Truth 3 DVD set is the first one that has helped. His explanations of the one and two plane swings finally clears up a lot of misunderstanding and allows you to focus on the specifics you need for your swing and disregard all of those that don't apply. - N.F.

.............................

Jim Hardy is truly a genius- this is what I have been searching for my entire golfing life, about 35 years. It is the Rosetta stone of golf.

Being a natural one planer, you can imagine how significantly a 2 plane release would impact my game, and not in a good way.

Just like Jim said, the very next ball you hit should be better. That wasn't exactly true, it was the second ball. I hit one bucket, played golf the next day, and shot a 76 on a course I had never played before. Have been hitting the ball great ever since.

No need to read golf magazines any more, other than to keep up with equipment. I skip right through the instruction, as it doesn't apply.

Pure genius!
B.B.

Thank you for "backing me up"... I'm a 30 index, 49 years old, short, coordinated not athletic, started 6 years ago, haven't broken 100 and decided that getting better was learning how to hit the ball with my swing. Call me stubborn, but I changed "pros", stopped lessons when the "new swing" results were crappier and caused injuries. I tried the one plane tips from the TV and hit the ball better. So I bought the DVDs and 10 balls later, I can play golf with my swing. The reason the Plane Truth worked so quickly for me was following Jim's advice to watch the lessons for both swings. I watched both lessons half heartedly and then the light went off... During a two plane lesson, Jim pointed out what happens when that "fix" is applied by a one planer. YOWZAH! I went back to the beginning to learn the one plane swing as I was confident that I "sucked" because I didn't know how to execute a one plane swing. Within 10 balls, shots were straighter and longer. Then, I knew where the ball was going to land. The lessons showed what a "bad shot" was telling me. Because I finally knew how to hit a good shot, I could tell if I didn't execute the one plane swing properly versus using the old swing. Okay, brass tacks, haven't played 18, but played multiple rounds of 9 on the normal courses averaging 48. It's not about the score, it's about being able to score. Literally overnight, I went from being lucky to hit a par 3 GIR per round to hitting multiple holes GIR per round. So,thank you for enabling me to play golf with my swing. It's funny that people comment on my improvement and when I don't hit it well they give me the same tips that didn't work... That includes the "pro" I gave the "86"!!!

My name is Andres Cerda, Age 38. I`m Chilean but I've lived in Peru since 1996. I started playing golf 10 years ago. My dedication to the Golf game is 100% - after working 9 hours a day, I try to practice and play every weekend and also practice early in ther morning two times a week (from 6 to 7 AM). I`m now handicap 16.

I had an important British Tournament for amatuers in Lima Peru last Saturday. Well the weekend before (9 days ago) I played a qualifying round and I qualified last and was very lost with my swing. I must tell that one year ago I meet this teacher here in Lima Peru,  he is full Hogan. Well I have really improved this past year going from 28 of handicap to my brand new 16 handicap, but I was yet not clear of the way I should do the swing.

Well on Monday 3rd September (7 days ago) I received both of your books and all the DVD that I found and bought from your web site. I wanted to thank you indeed very much for the information that I have received, I started studying it every day and practiced in my yard and one early morning on Thurday at the Driving Range. I worked with One Plane swing techniques that you have exposed on your books and DVDs and let me tell you that they have really helped me understand what I should be doing in my swing. Well I played the British Tournament here in Peru last Saturday. I started great: Par, Par, Birdy, Par. And I really had to start playing with my mind because my One Plane Swing was working so good that I couldn`t beleive the way that I was playing! I got a rare sensation, something like after the first 6 holes I didn`t want to play any more because I have done a great so my mind started to work in maintanining my self calm and concentrated to my next shot.

Well I did a very good for my handicap, I finally shot an 84 Gross, minus 16, I got 4 under in net. We played Stableford so I did 39 points. I got the first place on 0 to 18 category and I won the overall tournament (the best score on 19-28 category was 38 points).

Yesterday I went to my Golf Club again and I continue to work with your information and I continue to hit very well on the driving range. Now my mind is in much more peace (by the way not for winning the tournament it got peacefull days before when I reviewed you info)... I understand that to get better I must put more hours on training, that is no news. But now thanks to you Mr. Hardy I have a much better orientation of how I must swing and what I am supposed to do for that type of swing that I`m working with.

I also have a great 8 year old son and he loves the game and he practices and plays a lot, every day. I want to thank you for him to because now I can see in a much better way the work that his teacher is doing in working with him. Now I have opportunity to give my son some advice well founded, thanks to you Mr Hardy.

Just has you have stated, your lessons take inmidiate results not next class thay work when you aply them correctly. For the rest of my life I will be very thankfull to you Mr. Hardy, I have seen the light thanks to all your years of work, all your investigation and your information liberation.

Best Regards,

Jim,

I purchased your book The Plane Truth and although I'm just a regular player and have been for 30 years (10 to 12 handicap) your explanations have totally transformed my understanding of the golf swing.

I'm sorry to tell you that the 2 Plane Swing works far better for me, but it was learning (and yes I was mixing 1 & 2 Plane techniques) that firstly, the separate methods actually existed and how they so dramatically differed that proved to be an instant breakthrough for me. No one has ever been able to explain these fundemantals so clearly before (and believe me I've asked ). I did try both methods and for whatever reason the 2 Plane Swing felt more comfortable to me resulting instantly in very consistent solid ball striking.

I'm certainly by no means an expert, but I would guess that just about every guy who is told to turn away and then turn back will almost instinctively adopt the torso/shoulder rotation of the 1 Plane Swing whilst at the very same time being taught by PGA Professionals the arms and hand movements of the 2 Plane Swing. I would suggest that reference to a delayed hitting position and/or leverage by some teaching Pro's isn't a real big help either. As a clear example of this, 30 years ago on 12/22/1977 Leslie King (known as Mr X in the UK and published every month in Golf World) a contemporary of John Jacobs, described my swing to me as a 'roller and rounder' - I hadn't a clue what he meant other than he said to me "in the downswing the shoulders moved first". He recommended I stay with that method, but didn't say why, and to play with the blade closed at address informing me that Neil Coles did the same - I still have his letter to me. Now you can imagine just how helpful that has been over the years (to compensate I must have adopted a swing that perfectly melded those copied from Lee Trevino's and Jim Furyk - thankfully I've always been blessed with wonderful hand eye coordination and bullet like reflexes). However, having read your book I was able for the very first time to clearly understand and separate the two very different swing techniques in practise (particularly the passive shoulders almost square at impact for the 2 Plane Swing) and to my complete surprise when watching the video discovered I've a much pretttier swing as well as far more importantly observing greater consistent directional / trajectory ball striking.

Thanks Jim.

Regards,
Bob Longo

Hi, Jim... I recently bought your last book, related to the one and two plane swings.  As always, whenever one tries to implement changes, even small ones, it can be quite difficult.  However, the chapter that related to Ben Hogan's secret really hit home with me.  Having read Harvey's Penick's Little Red Book, I'll always remember the little paragraph about golf's "secret move"...returning your right elbow to your hip on the downswing. I've tried this and had good success...less over the top.  When you analyzed Hogan's move, and shed light on keeping the elbow BEHIND the right hip, I just had to try it.  WOW...what a difference !  My shots have been deadly straight and the feeling of hitting from the inside just feels more natural.  I'm surprised at how I don't have the need to manipulate the clubface through the hitting zone...it just seems to square up.  Thanks for the insight.

Sincerely, Kevin Deuchars

Just wanted to give you some feedback. I'm enjoying your Plane Truth DVD and am making great progress after less tha a week. Played all my life between 0-2 handicap and slipped to an 8 five years ago. I have tried everything and can't get comfortable with anything that works for anything but a short period of time.

Watched the DVDs and immediately recognized that my natural swing is 1 plane and I've been struggling to perfect a 2 plane swing! Results are tremendous on the range and just need to get it to the course. I still get stuck in between but as I said, it's been less than a week.

Thanks so much for your help, I think I may not have to give up the game afterall!!!

OK, I am convinced, The Plane Truth is the best instruction I have seen in my 30 years playing.

Here's proof. I added a link in my website. Check out the testimonial, you may be surprised. See http://cottonharbor.com/Golf.html

We met at the South Texas PGA dinner in San Antonio a year and a half ago. However, I really wanted to thank you for the Plane Truth.

I ordered the DVD set before Christmas and I have been through it several different times. The first time through, I realized that I am a one-plane guy! I have a 0.1 index at Walden on Lake Conroe. I went through the "Tips and Drills DVD" this afternoon and played the front nine at Walden, shooting 33 (-3) and never felt like I was going to miss a shot. I just turned 48 and have played in substantial golf tournaments (2 US Ams, '93 and '99) and never felt like I did today.

When I first started to implement the "one-plane" swing, I felt like I was SO inside. I had to go to our teaching facility and look at my swing in the mirror and on video. I felt like the club was inside and behind my body but I couldn't be any farther from the truth. I was in a great position. Ron Herridge, Teaching Pro, said that I was in a perfect position. I might have been through the DVD set once, no more than twice.

I have been stuck between a one- and two-plane golf swing and the "oven mitt" move was so eye-opening for me. I understood what you and your tour pros have been talking about with regard to the "one-plane" swing but the "oven mitt" was the glue that put it all together and held it into place.

I think that I will be able to pay for the DVD set … real quick! Now, can you do something about this rain we have been having here in Houston? I am ready to play golf.

Thanks for producing the DVD.

Best regards,
David Jones

I want to give a testimonial to the truth about "The Plane Truth for Golfers".

1. I read the book over two days. Practiced the drills in the front yard. Hit a few plastic balls. Then went over the highlights in the book again.

2. Then on the very next day I played with the single plane golf swing to a finish of 91.

My average is a 96 on the same course, using any number of confusing mental tools. But the most noteworthy fact is, what you said in the book is true and you helped me get a clear understanding of what the golf swing is all about and how to find out what swing is best for me.

Also noteworthy is the reaction the other players were having to the contact I was making with the ball. The word used more than once was PURE CONTACT. It was windy that day and yet using the single-plane swing which suited me best was boring right through and true. If it wasn't for my putting and my pitches I know I would have shot in the mid 80s.

Thanks again,
Cory Choisnet

I received an email from your firm, at my office, and it reminded me of our brief meeting last year. Once again I just wanted to thank you for repairing my golf swing, about 3 years ago. That was when I bought your book, "The Plane Truth for Golfers". I read it in one night. Here's my story:

I have played golf since 1963. I am 54 years old. My Dad taught me and my brother. I got good enough to play in high school and then in college, but though I could always beat my buddies, I never played the way I thought I should. I could break 78 sometimes, but never better than 75. I knew I could play better, so I began a search to, as I got older, find a simple, repeatable, golf swing that would control my ball flight in the wind, and I would finish my swing in balance. That's all I was looking for. Control ball flight, finish in balance.

After reading your book in late 2004, I made the swing change. The result? In 2005 I qualified for the Texas State Mid Amateurtournament, by shooting 72 at the TPC at Craig Ranch, and subsequently played in the Texas State Mid Am, contested that year at Brookhollow Country Club in Dallas. I, then qualified for the 2006 Texas State Mid Amateur tournament, by shooting 74 in the qualifier at the Gentle Creek Golf Course and played in the Texas State Mid Amateur Tournament held at Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas. On the day of the practice round, Thursday, September 14th, 2006, at the Champions practice range, about 9:00 a.m., I saw you at the opposite end of the tee, hitting balls. I walked over and introduced myself and thanked you for "fixing my backswing". You were extremely nice to me, and though I could not linger (I had a tee time), your email to my company reminded me of our brief meeting, and your sincerity and kindness.

And oh, by the way, I sport a 1 handicap, now. Thanks, again.

Sincerely,
Philip Austin

I ordered the video series a few weeks ago. Incredible! I have always been a Better-than-average golfer, but my swing in just the first week has improved immensely. It's like someone turned on a light in a low-lit room. This video has educated me more about the golf swing than anything else I've ever experienced. I'm confident that this will instructional series will bring me from a 7 to a 4 or lower.

Thank you.

I do not know if you desire testimonials from those who have bought and studied your concepts through your DVD set or not, but I have taken your coaching very seriously.

I was coached to be a two-plane swinger, however, after your challenge to go out and try both the one- and two-plane swings, I found that with the one-plane I didn't feel the ball leave the club and picked up 5 yards with my pitching wedge. The first 9 holes using only the one swing plane was a disaster in that I double bogeyed every hole (not good for a 7 handicapper) but I was committed to give it a fair shake. My next full round of golf was near par and my scores continued to go down from there.

The latest GHIN handicaps came out today and I am now a +1.1 and have shot multiple rounds in the 60s.

Thank you for your easy to understand and put into practice teaching. Someday I hope I have the opportunity to meet you in person.

I'm sure you don't remember me but I attended your 2-day seminar in Scottsdale, AZ back in March 2004. I am on your web site as an instructor who has attended your seminar. I live in the California desert in the winter time and NY in the summer months, therefore I receive many requests to teach the one-plane method — being the only instructor listed in the CA desert area.

I normally would be leaving to go to the desert in the next few days, but when I learned you would be doing a 4-hour session here in NY, I decided to postpone my trip back to CA by a couple of days.

The reason I am telling you all this is, I want to thank you for not only enlightening me but helping me to become a significantly better teacher by finally putting the golf swing and its mechanics in a proper order. I was a decent player at one time (I also went to Oklahoma State for 2 years in the early 1970s with Coach Harris) and over the years of taking lessons and being totally confused by what I was trying to learn, I got progressively worse. Consequently I stopped enjoying competing and I also lost the enthusiasm for teaching.

The 2 days at your seminar cleared things up so much for me both in my teaching and playing that I have been nominated as a top 100 teacher by Golf Digest and recognized as a top teacher in the Northeast.

I also enjoy getting to the practice range again and working on my own game and trying to be competitive again playing and I am starting to have some success. If while you are here in NY I can be of any assistance please fell free to contact me. I really look forwarded to hearing you speak and see you again. Thanks again!

I am 62 yrs of age and have been playing golf since I was a youngster. Although, my handicap has been in the 9-11 range for many years, golf over the past few years really hasn't been very much fun for me. I am small, but rather athletic. I finally just became frustrated with
never really improving, and was considering giving up the game.

The other day, I caught the tail-end of a discussion about the one-plane golf swing on The Golf Channel. I was intrigued, so I went "on-line" and spent some time reading about one-plane vs. two-plane swings. I will make this short: Yesterday, I went to the bookstore and purchased "The Plane Truth for Golfers" and read it last night.

Today, I went out and hit a few balls and then played with a couple of my usual "golf-buddies" — shot 75. I easily could have been under par. My friends were amazed.

Your book allowed me to get rid of my "guilt" and go ahead and hit the ball. I have always had a natural one-plane swing, but would never completely let myself use it because I couldn't give up the "irrevocable truths", those iron-clad "dictums" buried in my "golf brain" since my childhood. I am now truly a "born-again golfer".

After one short practice session, I am hitting the ball "fearlessly". If my handicap is not in the very low single-digits very soon, I will be surprised. What a wonderful feeling! So…Thanks

I have a great testimony for Jim and his Plane Truth DVD! I am a 17 handicap and the more I would try to improve my game it seemed the worse I would get. All the information would be jumbled in my head like Jim says on the DVD. Instead of dipping into the 80s and getting lower, I found myself getting higher into the 90s from inconsistency in my ball striking. I was frustrated because my golf teachers all said I should be a 6-10 handicap based on what they saw.

So, after spending large amounts of money on golf training aids and lessons with no remarkable improvement (I even injured myself with one of them), I purchased the Plane Truth for Golfers as a last-ditch effort. My wife advised against it and said I needed 'psychotherapy, not another "training aid".

After watching the first DVD I knew instantly I had my "psychotherapy". No one ever explained golf like Jim Hardy. I couldn't believe it was that simple. I could easily see why I was inconsistent and applying information from one swing approach that doesn't work in the other swing approach. After finishing the DVD series I couldn't wait to see the "immediate" results that Jim says you should get if you are learning and applying properly.

After one driving range visit to try the principles of the one-plane swing, I headed to the golf course a few days later. I shot 6 over par and played the best golf of my life! I have never been that consistent and never has the golf swing been so easy to duplicate! Thank you Jim Hardy for being the BEST golf teacher I have ever encountered! You took 17 STROKES off my game in my first visit to a golf course after watching your DVD Series!

Dear Mr. Hardy:

Hello, my name is Scott Hacker, from Atlanta, GA. About six years ago, I began pursuing a career and the long learning curve of becoming a playing golf professional.

Almost two years ago, I went through a two month stretch where I played the best golf of my life. My golf swing and ball striking had never been better and I was doing exactly what I wanted to, with the golf ball. I wasn't exactly sure why... or what I was doing so correctly, but I had good, consistent thoughts and good results for a short span of time.

Eventually, as I kept tinkering with fundamentals and searching to get even better, I somehow got away from those thoughts that were working so well and my golf game suffered, back to where it was, as a result.

Over this past weekend, I watched your DVDs on "The Plane Truth for Golfers" and took notes on the fundamentals for the "One-Plane" golf swing. After experimenting and practicing with your instructions, I quickly got back to making the moves that I had been executing two
years ago.

Now, not only has my ball flight and ball striking gotten back to my best ever, this time, with your instruction, I understand WHY I'm making the right moves.

I simply didn't realize that there are two different sets of fundamentals for two different golf swings... and I had gotten these two sets of fundamentals crossed up with each other… producing the wrong moves for my one-plane swing. (e.g., spine tilt, weight transfer, take away positions). I'm a very good athlete with excellent hand/eye coordination and with the help of your instruction, I feel like my chances of success have been greatly accelerated.

I'm writing to say "Thank You" for providing a simple and effective way for people to understand the different sets of fundamentals and... the Plane Truth!! If a guy with the name "Hacker" can do it, anyone should be able to improve!!

Thanks again for getting my game back!! And, don't be surprised to see the name Hacker on a leader board one day! : )

Sincerely,
S. Hacker

Mr. Hardy:

After seeing the "Plane Truth" presentation on The Golf Channel, I absolutely realized why my lessons with more than 10 different PGA teaching professionals over my 35+ years of military service had not reduced my handicap or increased my ability by even one stroke. I also immediately bought Jim's book.

After several months of learning and refining the concepts, I ended up changing everything — from a very confused two-plane swinger to a rapidly improving and confident single planer. Previously, I had trouble breaking 95 on a consistent basis, even though I have always been an accomplished athlete with better-than-average hand and eye coordination.

Last year, I broke 80 on three occasions and now feel terrible if I shoot over 85. At 62 years of age, Jim's efforts conclusively prove that you can teach an old dog new tricks. A pleasant aside for me personally is that I no longer suffer back pain after playing a round. Golfing now actually seems to help keep my back strong and flexible. I cannot thank you enough for your remarkable and revolutionary efforts!

Please feel free to use this testimonial if it will be of use.

I would like to keep improving and feel that a copy of Jim's DVD on the drills and tips would be of great assistance, most especially if he goes beyond what was provided in his book. Can I please purchase this single DVD separate from the 3-disc video set?

I live in upstate New York where the summers are short and the winters are long. We had an exceptionally weird fall this past year. It lasted longer than usual so after the golf courses had closed I had gone to a local driving range where I had seen one of my old friends practicing with another guy. My friend used to be really good golfer, from what I had remembered. He told me that he had gotten so frustrated with the game he was ready to give it up — until this guy had told him about the "Plane Truth" by Jim Hardy.

I had hit my bucket of balls and was ready to head back home — after hitting some good shots and some bad ones, and not really knowing what I had done in my swing when I did hit a good ball, probably because I didn't understand the golf swing. My friend had called me over and told me to hit a few balls. He then realized that I fit the one-plane swing profile.

Let me tell you, it felt really awkward at first but I did manage to hit a couple of good shots before it got too dark to hit any more balls. My friend told me to make a small investment and by the book, "The Plane Truth" by Jim Hardy, so I went to the local book store the following weekend and purchased the book. After reading it and seeing that it really made sense, I decided to purchase the DVD set.

I never realized how much I was mixing my one-plane swing with two-plane fundamentals, and the harder I tried to correct one thing the more mistakes I was making. Well, after really taking the time to work on the fundamentals of the swing that fits my style this year, I have hit the ball with more consistency than I have ever done in all the years I have been playing. I just wanted to personally thank you for finally explaining the golf swing, so that it makes sense to anyone willing to take the time to learn.

I want to thank you for all the great information that you have provided for us, the frustrated golfer. I've been playing golf for over 30 years and have been close to a scratch handicap three times. I always knew something was missing but could never find what it was. To make a long story short. I've been looking at your videos for the past winter and started swinging this past week.

WOW! All the info that I learned over the years snapped into place and I now feel that with a little time and practice I will finally break seventy for the first time in my life. Thanks again so much forthis great teaching info!

P.S. I'm a one-planer who has played my whole life trying to be a two-planer.

.............................

Dear Mr. Hardy,

Thank you for showing me "The Plane Truth". I bought your book and the DVD series last January and improved my golf scores dramatically, shooting a par 71 on my home course on May 17. 2007. I am 73 years old and this is two strokes under my age. On June 7, 2007 I made an eagle on the par 4 10th hole — 315 yards. My last seven rounds have all been in the seventies.

I attribute these successes to your "Plane Truth" genius -- changing from a two-plane swing to a one-plane swing. My goal now is to break seventy and I think I can do it -- with your help. I do continue to have one intermittent problem. I sometimes hit the ball fat -- especially with my wedges...

Thanks again for "The Plane Truth".

I purchased your “Plane Truth” DVD set recently and have been studying them since receipt. Yesterday I spent an hour on the range working on a single plane swing and then played with the swing.  Naturally I expected the worst and in some cases my expectations were correct.  I told myself before the round that I would not revert to my former swing (if I had one).  Well the bottom line is that I shot the second best round that I have played this year (90) and had 2 tipples, 4 doubles, and 5 bogies. The 5 pars and the 2 birdies were the encouraging thing that has me convinced that this swing is going to be right for me.  90 is certainly not my goal score but it is in the right direction.

The biggest problem that I am having is hitting my fairway woods but I am pretty sure I will be able to get them right with more work.  I would love to take some lessons from someone that knows how to teach the single plane swing but I have not been able to locate anyone in the Chicago area?  If you can be of help with someone please let me know.

I turned 60 in February and when I finished playing yesterday my back did not hurt.  Furthermore, when I got up today my back did not hurt.  Throughout my playing life (I hate to think of it but it has been 45 years now) no one has ever explained the golf swing like you do in this DVD set.  Thanks you very much for the help and keep up the great work.

I am 36 years old and been playing Golf for 3 Years. All that time people have been telling me I need to stand taller at address, after reading Jims book I now realise this is not constructive for a one plane swing. While I will never win the Open I can at least stand on the tee confident I am going to get a fairly decent strike on the ball. Also I have shot under my handicap 3 times in the last 4 rounds as opposed to 3 times in the last 4 years before I read the book.

I am 34 years old and have been shooting in the mid nineties at my local course for the last 7 years. But this is changing thanks to Jim Hardy. My dog Blue and I watched Mr. Hardy and these DVDs every morning this winter after being introduced to the one-plane swing (and Mr. Hardy's book) this past August. I am a high handicapper who has always hit for power (5 wood, 240-260) off the tee), but was wildly inconsisent. These lessons have "quieted" my swing dramatically while allowing me to hit for even more power and accuracy. I just shot a career-best 83 at my local course, and cannot wait to get back out on the course again. I would also recommend the Master Lessons book, which really helped bring the one-plane lessons full circle for me. Thanks Jim!!!!!

I'm a 60 year-old 10 handicap who hopes to be in single digits before the summer ends. I've been working on the one plane swing for 7 or 8 weeks and the results have been absolutely wonderful! Earlier this spring I was practicing in Florida and I must have hit four six irons into a single palm tree on our range about 150 yds out. I hit one after another into the leaves on the top of the tree. The guy next to me said, "how are you doing that?" I told him, "three easy payments of $39.95". We had a good laugh and then I launched into an explanation of the Plane Truth. On Friday I got to my local driving range and went to work on my swing. They have a beer truck parked out at the 250 yd marker to give kids a “target” for their golf shots. I’ve been going to this range for years and I could fairly say that some years I never hit the beer truck and some years I may have hit it one time. On Friday I hit it with my driver on the bounce. I teed up another ball and hit the truck again! Unbelievable! .....then I did it three more times...five in a row!! As I teed up the 6th ball and the thought went trough my head that this was just impossible and I pulled the shot left. It hit the ground, spun right and rolled under the truck! Jim, I'm playing some of the best golf of my life and having so much fun doing it. Thanks for The Plane Truth!

I am 52 years old and started playing golf just a few years ago. I went through various videos and swing aids and still could not break 100 with any regularity. Last fall I bought the DVD set, realized I am flexible enough to be a one-planer, and started practicing. Now my 9-hole outings are consistently in the 40s and my first 18-hole outing this year was a 94 (If I had not putted like a dope I would easily have been in the 80s). Every club in my bag is consistently about 10 yards longer than it was before The Plane Truth and my accuracy is getting better and better. I expect to be in the 80s this season, once I get my short game under control. The Plane Truth is the best investment in my golf game that I have made. Many thanks to Jim Hardy, Peter Jacobsen (oven mitt!), and Tom Pernice (inner circle drill).

I might begin by saying I'm 60 years old with a 6 handicap. I was trying to golf with both a one and a 2 plane swing before your videos. I found I'm a one-planer. I am a Coach and instructor for a Jr. High Golf Team for 6 years. Last year we were 10-0 at 8 different courses in the area against 8 different schools. Your last video, " Getting on Plane" is spectacular and so helpful. I fould out I was doing some other things wrong. I'm back on track now. Waiting for the next video. You will have this old man a scratch golfer by the time this is over.

Great job..I bought the Plane Truth for Golfers about a year ago and watched it off and on trying what I say that might work. I put it away and later started from the begining again and I picked up something I missed the first time. It was like turning a light on in a dark room. In short, the inner and outer circle drill really did it. The last 2 rounds have showed me I am on the right track. More later as I get my scores posted and re-acess my handicapp.

I'm 44 years old and have been playing golf since I was 6. I could really identify with the feeling Jim describes on the videos about all the confusion he experienced for years. I would be a 2 handicap when I played quite a bit and suddenly couldn't break 90 after a week off. After watching the tapes I realized why. I've been implimenting some 2 plane and some 1 plane fundamentals for 30 years. Today I read just the book went to the range and implemented just 1 plane fundamentals. Then played 9 holes at even par. The results were immediate just like Jim said should be the case. My shots were straighter and had a much better trajectory practically nullifying the affects of the wind. The best $100 I ever spent on golf. Now I just have to spend a little more to bend my irons from 2 degrees up to a flatter lie which Jim talks about in the video as well. I can't thank Jim enough.

Jim, The whole series has been GREAT. My handicap has been dropping, now a 10, and the One Plane has been very good for me after having my right hip replaced, in Oct. 2006. I'm grateful to still be playing and playing well because of your instruction. Keep up the GREAT work and I look forward to "add'l education".

I love it when me, a 13 year-old girl, is playing with my dad and I can out drive him! Its great, the system was easy to understand. Once I understood the basics of it, evertything else fit into place. It helped both my dad and I to find out what plane we were and went from there. I was orginally a two-plane but switched to a one and it has done marvels to my game. Wait for me on the next LPGA tour! Just kidding!

.............................

Unknowingly used one plane methodology playing college golf. Abandoned it for 30 years as golf magazines offered different advice. I still played well but could never break through a consistent 3 handicap. Heard about Plane Truth from Art Sellinger, Long Drivers of America, and with structured support for a one plane method went from 3 to 1 handicap in 6 weeks. Results were instantaneous! That was two years ago and I continue to maintain a 1....Thanks! -Jim

I've spent over fifteen years since taking up golf in my 40 with numerous lesson, reading countless books, etc. and was totally confused. After buying the book and then the video series I've been able to sort out what applies to my two plane swing and practice the 1-2-3 drill. I've picked up 20 yards and loads of confidence that I'm working on the right things! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I want to thank you for all the great information that you have provided for us the frustrated golfer. I've been playing at golf for over 30 years and have been close to a scratch handicap three times. I always knew something was missing but could never find what it was. To make a long story short. I've been looking at your videos for the past winter and started swinging this past week. WOW all the info that I learned over the years snapped into place and I now feel that with a little time and practice I will finally break seventy for the first time in my life. Thanks again so much for this great teaching info! PS  I'm a one planer that has played my whole life trying to be a two planer.

I have been on a quest for the last eight years attempting to "dig" my own swing from the dirt. Along the way I discovered certain "feelings" in my swing that provided consistant, powerful golf shots that stayed on target. There was only one problem, these "feelings" did not reconcile to the latest and greatest instruction by big name teachers published in popular golf magazines and telivised on popular instructional shows on TGC. Perplexed and with no where to turn I languished in a world of confusion and my handicap remained at 14. Then I read Plane Truth for Golfers and realized that what I had discovered was the fundementals for a one plane swing and more importantly that everyone else was teaching the two plane swing. With renewed confidence in my "fundementals" my handicap instantly went from a 14 to a 9!Thank you Jim for your ground breaking book and confirming what I had discoverd along my journey in the game of golf.

I cannot express how happy I was to finally read your book and finally begin to feel as if I could actually understand how to properly swing a golf club.  I am over 50 and have been playing since my late 30's when someone from work introduced me to the game.  I played for years completely attempting to glean the fundamentals of the swing from what I was told by other players and from what I read.  I rarely broke 100.  I thought I was the only person who saw the utter futility in trying to learn from instruction that, sometimes within the pages of the same magazine, actually directly contradicted each other. Playing badly but still in love with the game, I started seeking out professional advise and paying for lessons.  This got my game into the 90s, but I never really felt as though I understood what I was doing.  Sometimes I would hit a decent shot, and other times, doing was I thought was the exact same move, it would produce a horrible result. Some of the instruction never felt right and I was always uncomfortable attempting to perform what I was being told.  Again, I tried to supplement what I thought was my new "base" with every tip and quick fix I could find, with only temporary, at best, results.  I practiced for hours and hours on the range.  Once I would hit a good shot, I would want to hit another just like it to validate that I "knew" what I had just done.  Sadly, I could rarely maintain any consistency for more than just a few balls.

I cannot tell you the flashes of insight and understanding I had when reading your book!  I decided that I wanted to be a one-plane golfer and read both sections of your book several times, so I understood what to include and what not to include in my practice. I took your ideas out to the range and it seemed like it only took a few swings to get to where I could consistently produce a repeating ball flight.  If only I had someone to explain this to me 20 years ago!

For the first time ever, when I am over the ball, I feel like I know what I am doing.  I feel that for the first time in 20 years, I understand what the swing plane is.  It is also amazing how by correcting one thing, other things work better all by themselves.  I have hit shots that I know were not on the middle of the clubface, but you could barely tell from the ball flight. This is a tremendous difference.  Hitting an acceptable shot seemed as difficult as balancing a pencil on its point before and now, even slight mishits seem to work out so that I can actually play the game and not hit off into the trees somewhere.  I never knew how bad my swing plane was until now.  The one plane approach makes so much sense to me, that I hope I never try to golf any other way.  I have broken 90 a few times and am very encouraged and excited because I now feel my best game ever is still in front of me!
-Thanks, John C.

I had gone to a local driving range where I had seen one of my old friends practicing with another guy.  My friend used to be really good golfer from what I had remembered.  He told me that he had gotten so frustrated with the game he was ready to give it up until this guy had told him about the “Plane Truth” by Jim Hardy.

I had hit my bucket of balls and was ready to head back home after hitting some good shots and some bad ones and not really knowing what I had done in my swing when I did hit a good ball, probably because I didn’t understand the golf swing.  My friend had called me over and told me to hit a few balls then realizing that I fit the one plane swing profile.  Let me tell you, it felt really awkward at first but I did manage to hit a couple of good shots before it got too dark to hit any more balls.  My friend told me to make a small investment and buy the book, so I went the following weekend and purchased the book.  After reading it and seeing that it really made sense I decided to purchase the DVD set.

I never realized how much I was mixing my one plane swing with two plane fundamentals and the harder I tried to correct one thing the more mistakes I was making.  Well, after really taking the time to work on the fundamentals of the swing that fits my style this year I have hit the ball with more consistency than I have ever done in all the years I have been playing. I just wanted to personally thank you for finally explaining the golf swing that makes sense to anyone willing to take the time to learn.

Thank you,
Ed Kirsteins

I am 77 years old be playing for the better part of 50 years. Needless to say I have had tapes, books, head books, every ones instructional video none of them can compare to Jim Hardy's secrets from the vault. Thanks for the book and video.  I read the book cover to cover … but had difficulty putting the written word into the feel of the one plane swing … but the video is a different story. I’m 51 and have played golf for many years and have never heard the elements of the golf swing like you’ve described on the dvd.  Wow … now I have a direction with conviction that I’m on the right path. I've been an avid hacker for 19 years. Shot in the 70's on rare occasions, mostly 90's. Acquired lessons, books , video's and nothing seemed to give me the undestanding of what I should be trying to do. I was frustrated and on the verge of quiting. I'm a good athlete and I just could not get it. After purchasing your plane truth and viewing it a "number of times" I finally got it. No I'm not shooting in the 60's or 70's . But man am I finally having fun. My golf foursome has noticed a significant change in my attitude. No more screaming and yelling at myself. I hit the ball with consistency, and when I go wrong i immediately know why. I expect to lower my 16 handicap to a single didget this summer. Putting and 100 yds and in have always been my strong points and know I have a full aresenal. This information you gave me has changed my golf life. Enjoying the game I love , now if you can make my sand play better I could make this 4 some cry!

I'm 41 years old and was a 14 handicap. Last year, I decided to take action to improve my game. I changed my 25 years old clubs for ping G5 and also read Tiger "how to play golf" book. Results: I finish my summer golf at a 21 handicap! I worked hard to apply Tiger's advice but at the end my game got worse. During the summer I was really discouraged, and not even Dr Bob Rotella's "The Golfer's Mind" was able to crank me up. I bought for my birthday this winter Jim's DVD Series and praticed only in my living room the reverse "K" and the sliding bump. I just came back in March from a 7 days golf vacation. If we only look at my driving shots where one could say "nice drive Daniel" Game #1:6/13, 2:11/14, 3:13/14, 4:13/14, 5:14/14, 6:14/14, 7:10/14. Total: 82/97 (85%). A part of the first game (6 out of 13 holes)where I had similar to my last summer average of ~50% of a nice drive, the other games I just can't believe the improvement I made.

I am 55 years old. I was a college golfer and a plus handicap in the early 70's. during that time I was a pretty good "two plane" golfer. Advocate of Jack and Johnny Miller's teachings. I spent a year as a club pro. Well life came along and I developed a family, a career and a pretty poor golf game. I hurt my wrist along the way. This made certain aspects of the two plane swing nearly impossible. My game deteriorated. I began to learn various aspects of what I now know to be a "one plane swing". But the confusion persisted. I wanted to take the hands out of the swing but all the advice served to make my game worse and worse. I was pretty much hopeless. Then I ordered your video. Wow. As a student of the game (and I think there are very few outside of professional teachers that know much more than I do) everything has come together. I am thrilled to learn this new way of thinking about the game. I have thrown away the gadgets that are good for "two planers" but bad for me. I am excited about the prospects for this season. I have not been able to take the lessons to the golf couse yet but am very encouraged by results on the range. (e.g. I can't beleive that I can hit the ball so well with the one handed drill.) Thanks for sharing your thinking on the golf swing.

I do love the game of golf with a passion, and I do miss being in college. This was the best of both worlds. This is a deep study of the technoligy of your golf-swing, and what, how, and why you play as you do. The fog has now been lifted. This course sounds spendy initialy, but once you do the CD's,the knowledge presened is priceless. I love golf, and thank you, Sir Jim Hardy, for this gift.

I just bought the videos and watched them. I truly thought I had learned nothing and in fact called your order line to return them. To my surprise, no questions were asked and I got my return number to get a refund after I sent them back. Just before I was ready to mail them back, though, I watched them one more time and took notes. It finally hit me about the the postiton of the arms and hands and the 2 arcs. In good conscience, I couldn't send them back because I did get "something" out of them. Well, today is the first good day to golf in Ohio, and I shot a 78 and 79! I truly now have "EFFORTLESS POWER". I told my buddy about them while we played. He was amazed. His exeact words were "GO HARDY OR GO HOME". Thanks for allowing me to return them but I'm not going to!

I just wanted to thank Jim on the excellent follow up video on vault #1.  I was first disappointed because I was wanting the pitching and chipping video but soon realized some very important points and drills in the video that will help me. I have become a great fan of the Plane Truth as it has had a great impact on my ability to strike the ball solid ball solidly with some consistency that little word consistency has included me for some time. I look forward to the continuing series.

I just received and watched the first DVD in the "Continue Education" series and it was FANTASTIC!  It was eerie how you had just worked with me on those one plane elements.  The Two Plane part was FABULOUS as well; I was very happy to hear you talk about feeling an opening face in the downswing to encourage the correct move as I had personally arrived at that conclusion too (you're teaching me good!).  Thanks again Mr. Hardy and please let me know how you are doing.  I will see you at the Shell Houston open in a few weeks.

I would like to congratulate Mr. Hardy on the new Vault Series  It is his best to date and I hope he expands the series to include sand play  ,uneven lies  .speciality shots , putting and shaping the ball.  Jim’s teaching is just superb and the dvd along with his books make an unbeatable combination. I might add that I have also included  some excellent instruction with Rick Sellers to the equation.

I wasn't exactly sure why...or what I was doing so correctly, but I had good, consistent thoughts and good results for a short span of time. Eventually, as I kept tinkering with fundamentals and searching to get even better, I somehow got away from those thoughts that were working so well and my golf game suffered back to where it was, as a result. Over this past weekend, I watched your DVD's on the "Plane Truth for Golfers" and took notes on the fundamentals for the "One Plane" golf swing. After experimenting & practicing with your instructions, I quickly got back to making the moves that I had been executing two years ago. Now, not only has my ball flight and ball striking gotten back to my best ever...this time, with your instruction, I understand WHY I'm making the right moves. I simply didn't realize that there are two different sets of fundamentals for two different golf swings...and I had gotten these two sets of fundamentals crossed up with each other ..producing the wrong moves for my one plane swing (e.g... spine tilt, weight transfer, take away positions). I'm a very good athlete with excellent hand/eye coordination and with the help of your instruction, I feel like my chances of success have been greatly accelerated. I'm writing to say "Thank You" for providing a simple and effective way for people to understand the different sets of fundamentals and...the Plane Truth!! If a guy with the name "Hacker" can do it... anyone should be able to improve!!

Thanks again for getting my game back!!  And, don't be surprised to see the name Hacker on a leader board one day!  : )
Sincerely, S. Hacker

I really wanted to thank you for the Plane Truth. I ordered the DVD set before Christmas and I have been through the set several different times. The first time through, I realized that I am a One Plane Guy!  I have a 0.1 index at Walden on Lake Conroe.  I went through the Tips and Drills DVD this afternoon and played the front nine at Walden shooting 33 (-3) and never felt like I was going to miss a shot. I just turned 48 and have played in substantial golf tournaments (2 US Am’s ’93 and ‘99) and never felt like I did today. When I first started to implement the “one plane” swing, I felt like I was SO inside.  I had to go to our teaching facility and look at my swing in the mirror and on video.  I felt like the club was inside and behind my body but I couldn’t be any farther from the truth. I was in a great position.  Ron Herridge, Teaching Pro, said that I was in a perfect position.  I might have been through the DVD set once, no more than twice. I have been stuck between a one and two plane golf swing and the “oven mitt” move was so eye opening for me.  I understood what you and your tour pros have been talking about with regard to the “one plane” swing but the “oven mitt” was the glue that put it all together and held it into place. I think that I will be able to pay for the DVD set … real quick!  Now, can you do something about this rain we have been having here in Houston? I am ready to play golf. Thanks for producing the DVD.
 - Best regards,David Jones

The last round that I played before I picked up Jims book was probably the worst round of my life. I shoot low 70's consistently, dont know how but I do. With the swing that I had before Jim was nothing short of a miracle. Within a weeks time after reading and truly understandin what the 1 plane is truly about I now have a true swing and can analyze my swing when it gets a little rough. Why, because the true one plane is so very simple to understand. I refuse to tell my playing partners what my secret is. 10x straighter, which equates to more distance. Thanks to Jim I can stand over a ball and call the shot that I need whenever I need it. Like many others that have left testimonials I had confused some of the elements of the 1 plane and 2 plane fundamentals. Thanks to Jim I have separated the two and it has improved my game by leaps and bounds. Looking forward to the nest level of golf thanks to Jim and his breakdown of the two swings.

Jim, Thank you! I've tried it all, Swing Machine, Simple Golf, a dozen training aids and more and yet none had any lasting positive effect. Now I see why. I was a hybrid golfer; half one plane, half two plane and comletely frustrated and inconsistent. After adopting the one plane swing AND ONE PLANE FUNDAMENTALS my performance on the course and more importantly enjoyment improved immeasurably. Thanks Jim for making sense out of the insanity called the golf swing. Can you make a DVD on the short game, pitching and chippng, because I find myself with a tweener swing, on my short game half and half.
- Chris

I grew up reading Ben Hogan stuff about the golf swing and recently took a couple lessons from pros who kept telling me to bring the club up in what I now know is a two plane motion. One even said don't come back until you can do it. I just couldn't make it happen. I thought I had been doing something wrong all these years (55 or so). After reading Jim's book, I know now that my one plane motion is ok after all. Great to have someone explain it correctly. What a relief! Keep it up.

I can't thank you enough for producing the DVD series. I converted to the 1PS and it's finally paying off. The book was great but the DVD's are unexcelled among all the instruction I've purchased (Leadbetter, PGA.com, V1 Video, Pelz). Just received my 1st continuing Education disc and I'm really looking forward to the 2nd Disc on Chipping especially since I've been using Dave Pelz 4 wedge x 3 swings methodology. Don't like mixing 1&2PS techniques. So glad for you and your team to be enjoying such widespread success. Keep up the good work.

Hi, I just finished viewing the DVD's and must say that for the first time in 30 years I am able to sort out all the conflicting information I have been fed by golf schools and numerous private lessons. Jim Hardy, I am a 74 year old 12 handicapper who has struggled for years tying to reconcile all the conflicting comments of so called "educated" TV commentators covering the PGA tour. Some months ago, I read your book, "The Plane Truth ..." and concluder I was (or wanted to be) a one plane swinger but things did not work out well. Several days ago I got your DVDs and without question, I am a two planer and now finally on my way to a more consistent and effective swing. The reason for this email is to tell you that for me, and likely most other hackers, the DVDs are so much easier to understand than the book -- not your fault -- but seeing while listening to you is so much more understandable. I still wish you had produced separate one & two plane discs, but anyway, thank you for your wonderful contribution to golf which is now and is going to help so many of us.

As taken fron The Golf Channel's Discussion Board:
I recently purchased the DVD edition of Plane Truth. WOW !!! This DVD set really brings it home to me. Jim Hardy has cleared up the confusion about the golf swing. What works for a one plane golfer does not work for a two plane golfer. As a two planer I always fought with an over the top move. Now as a one planer I feel much more balanced, and in control of the swing. I shot my best ever 3 under par 69 thanks to Jim. I really feel like I can go even lower. My handicap has never been lower. I used to think a bogey round was good, now I have shot so many par rounds I have different expectations. My only problem with the Jim Hardy method is. I believe it so much I have a hard time believing any other teachers. May the Plane Truth be with you forever!!!!!

I just started playing golf three years ago. After two years of extensive play and practice, breaking into the eighties seemed impossible. I then saw your video which made the concept of a golf swing much less unachievable. Simple, is the word. Golf can be simple. I took your idea of a swing plane and constructed a gadget that forces the body to create that very effect. I went from 99's and 95's to 82's and 83's in, seriously, two weeks! Thanks a lot.

1. I read the book over two days. Practiced the drills in the front yard. Hit a few plastic balls. Then went over the highlights in the book again.

2. Then on the very next day I played with the single plane golf swing to a finish of 91. My average is a 96 on the same course using any number of confusing mental tools.

But the most noteworthy fact is that what you said in the book is true and you helped me get a clear understanding of what the golf swing is all about and how to find out what swing is best for me. Noteworthy is the reaction the other players were having to the contact I was making with the ball. The word used more then once was PURE CONTACT. It was windy that day and yet using the single plane swing which suited me best was boring right thru and true. If it wasn't for my putting and my pitches I know I would have shot in the mid eighty's.

Jim, I have been a long time follower of Jim Hardy. I first attended one of his seminars in Scottsdale AZ. I was then asked to preview his magazine article for Golf Digest. I then got his book and was even more enlightened. When I got The DVD's, I was blown away by the detail. I am a 1P swinger and am convinced that Jim's definition is supurb.

I began playing golf when I was 12 in 1963. Shortly after I started, the swing of Ben Hogan was the one I admired the most. Playing high school and college golf, the one thing we always discussed was Hogan's swing. I even had the chance to watch Hogan play a practice round at the 1970 PGA championship in Tulsa. His ball flight was beautiful and the course management was something I will never forget. I had worked very hard and a fairly good copy and produced good results. My best score ever is a 63 which I have shot five times and during the years right after I graduated from college my average score was 68.5 on my home course. But even though I was scoring like this I was never satisfied with my swing and began tinkering. A huge mistake that has taken me over 20 years to correct. I had taken lessons during that time and even some lessons from one of the top 5 ranked instructors. It would work for awhile, but there were just too many working parts to keep in sync. Especially after a long layoff. Then I read the Golf Digest article about the Jim Hardy's The Plane Truth for Golfers. I purchased the book and things began to fall into place, but there were still some areas that I was confused about. I have always been a visual learner and this past summer of 2006 I saw the infomercial for DVD set. I usually don't pay any attention to infomercials but this one was what I had been looking for, a companion to the book. I immediately purchased it and saw my swing and game improve very quickly. I now understand what I need to do and why. Before Jim Hardy's book and DVD, I was mixing the one plane and two plane elements. I am now also able to take a long layoff and come back able to play after only hitting one bucket of balls. I haved played in a couple of USGA Public Links Championships in the mid 1970's and tried qualifying for the US Open a few times until I lost my way with my swing. Thanks now to Jim Hardy I may try to get back into playing some golf at the level I used to play, and if I don't get back to that level, golf has become fun again and I love to practice and play. Thank you again for your book and DVD.

Now that I have had ample time to both learn and apply your golf swing techniques, I have come to the conclusion your DVD product is not worth $99. It is worth ten times that amount. Jim, you did an outstanding instructional job. I am best suited for the one plane swing. One question however, when finalizing the backswing relative to the rotating of the right and left forearms: does this automatically set the wrist or is there a slight bending requirement? It appears that way in the DVD, but no mention is made of this slight movement. Good luck with the continued success of your DVD.

I only wished I had this DVD when I first started playing golf about 10 years ago!! It would have saved me alot of frustration. Jim Hardy was so correct about the many mis-information and contradictory information out there.I was mixing techniques for both a one planer and a two planer. The results were I was hitting the ball inconsistently and often with a lack of distance. Then after reading Jim Hardy's book, The Plane Truth For Golfers, things began to make sense. The DVD however, was the clincher. It went into detail explaining visually the DO's and DON'Ts of hitting the ball as a one or two planer. Now, as a one planer, I'm hitting the ball not only longer, but solid and with more consistency. For me it was keeping that mental picture of the arc on the ground. And as Jim Hardy said, "keeping the club face square to the arc not square to the target line." Left arm pressed against the pectoris muscle during the backswing; NO rotation of the wrists during the 1st half of the backwing; and the downswing like throwing the ball OVERHAND not underhand. The results were incredible! My search for the perfect swing has been found!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Jim Hardy!

I'm a 54 year old guy who has been diligently working on my swing for the last 3 years. I've taken a few lessons, hit alot of balls, and worked on conditioning and flexibility. My game (on a good day) is at bogey golf. I got your book about 18 months ago. It made alot of sense and I figured I was a natural two planer. I loaned the book to a friend shortly after I finished reading it, and didn't get it back until two weeks ago. Since originally reading the book, my progress had slowed and my game was erratic. I re-read the book with a new perspective. I'm now giving the one plane model a serious try and I feel like I'm on the right track. I think the book deserves careful and purposeful study. This time around I've been using your ideas, combined with video analysis. You mention using a camera in the introduction of your book. It is excellent advice, and I would say to anyone who is serious about improving their ball striking: THE BOOK AND A VIDEO CAMERA ARE ESSENTIAL. The cost is insignificant compared to the potential benefits. I am seeing very encouraging results. I will post a follow-up after I have had more time to incorporate the changes. Thanks so much for putting your thoughts into a book. It is appreciated. I'll be ordering the DVD's.

I am an avid golfer - and in my younger days was a PGA Teaching Professional. Marriage and kids forced me to get more conventional employement. I guess the point is I have been around golf for over 30 years at somewhat of a high level and have never seen this kind of positive results so quickly. My ball striking improved from the very first swing. I have become a real admirer of Mr. Hardy. I would recommend the one plane swing to anyone, and have! Please allow me one example: Richard, a very good friend and very average golfer, watched the video took notes, hit a few balls and went to play. On the second hole after a very good drive he knocks his second shot in the hole from 165 yards with a 7 iron - on the forth knocks another ball in using an eight iron form 145 - amazing - I should note Richard is 65 years old. I am completly sold - Thanks!

Mr. Hardy, I canÕt begin to express my appreciation for golfing ÒepiphaniesÓ you uncovered with your book and cdÕs. As a way of background, I am an avid golfer who has struggled mightily with consistency. I have taken lessons from no fewer than 10-15 different instructors. I have stacks of golf tips from Golf Digest and Golf magazines. I have a library of books, tapes and cdÕs. Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicholas, Tiger Woods, Moe Norman, Harvey Penek, you name them and I have them. And they all contain many, many contradictions that had me even more confused. I am more comfortable and natural with a one-plane swing. I was on the driving range late this past summer trying to fix my hook when a gentleman approached me with what turned out to be some great advice. He was a teaching pro from Louisiana on vacation in Wisconsin (my home) who specialized in a one-plane swing. He didnÕt try to fix my swing. His advice was to purchase your book. I did, and it started me on the path to understanding what I am trying to accomplish with my swing. A golfing friend and I contacted Mike LaBauve and scheduled 6 hours of lessons. Mike suggested that I purchase your 3 cd set prior to our coming to Az. The combination of the book and the cdÕs has really allowed me to discard a lot of useless (for me) swing thoughts. Many thanks,
Don Duncan, WI

USGA Index: 1.2 Sure, before this dvd I have shot many rounds under par, but those rounds were a bit of a mystery when I analyzed the shots I played and how well I hit them÷or more accurately÷how badly I hit most of them. Many shots hit on the toe, some "lucky ones" on the center, some thin, some fat. It was all over the face, but somehow I managed to shoot a good score. Those rounds just didn't satisfy me, because I knew I didn't hit quality shots most of the time. Honestly, I would rather hit solid quality shots the whole round than to shoot a good score.

I just wanted to hit better shots and hit them most of the time, so I sought help from PGA Teaching Pros. Since I was swinging well enough to break par, they didn't want to overhaul my swing. Instead, the sessions really amounted to a few tips. Some of those tips helped to hit shots solidly, but the instructors didn't (or couldn't) explain why doing certain moves created more solid shots. I began to think that it was just something that worked for them as a golfer, especially when one of them said that's what they did. The tips worked for a while, but eventually my shots would go back to off-center hits again. It was very frustrating! Nothing stuck! If you don't know why it works, when it goes bad, you can't fix it.

Then I decided to do my own overhaul of my swing. I saw an infomercial on the Plane Truth for Golfers and thought, "hmmm.....1-plane versus 2-plane swings? This guy seems to make sense to me, maybe this dvd is worth a look at."

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST THING I EVER DID FOR MY GOLF SWING! PERIOD!!!

I've always had a flat-ish swing plane, but also always thought it was better to be more upright÷at least that's what most instructors and tv analysts tell you. Over the past twenty years, I was in a constant conflict, even though I managed to somehow shoot under par once in a while. Unfortunately, good rounds were surrounded by bad ones in the high seventies and eighties. Okay, so I'm a 1-planer now.

At the driving range, the first shot I hit after watching this dvd and attempting to do a 1-plane swing was so solid my heart seemed to literally beat out of my chest! I thought, "WOWEE! That was as solid as I have ever hit a golf ball in my whole life!" Now jump four months later, and things are only getting better! As my old, conflicted and habituated swing thoughts and actions from the past are slowly being replaced by the new ones for a 1-planer, my shots are becoming more and more solid AND consistent. I am hooked forever on this! I only wish I saw this dvd ten years ago!

[Here are some notes from my swing-diary on doing a 1-plane swing. (Yes, I do keep a swing journal. Okay, go ahead and laugh, but it's a great way to help new thoughts in and bad ones out, and also helps me to stay focussed in practice sessions.) Most important note is that like Mr. Hardy says in the video, if you begin to hit it badly, then go back to the section covering what you are trying to do and make sure you understand the concept. I think the one thing that a lot of new 1-planers will do is forget to keep our arms and hands on the right side while you rotate your shoulders (or more accurately, your chest) around your spine in the downswing. Let your shoulders square the clubface, not your arms and hands. Practice the new swing at 3/4 speed until you get a good feel for it. If you aren't hitting your shots solidly on the middle of the face, then you aren't doing something right. Go back and review the dvd. Try to remind yourself that you might be reverting back to your old conflicted and habituated swing actions. Think of the change as a process or journey that will have setbacks due to old habits or misunderstood new concepts.

Even after you feel you can swing as hard as you can with this new swing, you still need to keep your body turn and rhythm under control. I actually hurt my right rib cage by trying to hit my 6-iron 400yards. Though the swing concept is sound, the body that attempted to execute it at full throttle blew up. I couldn't make a full swing for about 6 weeks! But I'm back up and running again, and I can honestly say that I am hitting those little white balls as solidly and consistently as I have ever hit them my whole life. I can't wait to see how the swing feels in a year!]

I have spoken with several other players in regards to your DVD product, and have witnessed the results playing against them. (We have been team golfers since our Air Force days). Wow! I've ordered my copy, and can't wait to finally discover what "hidden" talent I have. All the best Jim!

I am a 13 handicap. I recently purchased the Plane Truth for Golfers. I live in Chicago and was planning to practice the drills and swing keys for the 2 plane swing indoors over the winter. However, soon after I watched DVD's we had a warm spell over Thanksgiving. I took advantage of the warm weather and played without warming up on the range. Without hitting a single golf ball from the time I watched the DVD's to playing my first round, I shot a career best 36 on the front 9 and 44 on the back. I would have scored better on the back but I missed two greens long. I am sold.

I have read your book, and when the DVD came out I jumped on it. I have been taking lessons for 5 years from and excelent PGA pro, but after watching the video I had a number of "aha" moments of clarity that in fact did imporove my swing immediately. In addition, my PRO watched the video also and now we are on the same page. His comments were similar to mine "one of the best videos ever". Jim's preparation, knowledge and ability t communicate are outstanding.... I've recommended this as the best $100 you will ever spend on your golf game to many people. Thanks Jim Hardy!

I am 62 yrs of age and have been playing golf since I was a youngster. Although, my handicap has been in the 9-11 range for many years, golf over the past few years really hasn't been very much fun for me. I am small, but rather athletic. I finally just became frustrated with never really improving, and was considering giving up the game. The other day, I caught the tail-end of a discussion about the one-plane golf swing on the Golf Channel. I was intrigued, so I went "on-line" and spent some time reading about one-plane vs. two-plane swings. I will make this short........Yesterday, I went to the bookstore and purchased "The Plane Truth for Golfers" and read it last night. Today, I went out and hit a few balls and then played with a couple of my usual "golf-buddies". -shot 75. I easily could have been under par. My friends were amazed. Your book allowed me to get rid of my "guilt" and go ahead and hit the ball. I have always had a natural one-plane swing, but would never completely let myself use it because I couldn't give up the "irrevocable truths",..... those iron-clad "dictums" buried in my "golf-brain" since my childhood. I am now truly a "born-again golfer". After one short practice session, I am hitting the ball "fearlessly". If my handicap is not in the very low single-digits very soon, I will be surprised. What a wonderful feeling! So...... Thanks

I am an avid golfer with a 21 handicap. I know that I can play better because I consistently shoot in the mid 90's and it is because of 2 to 3 holes where I just come apart. I have always known that it is due to me not trusting and owning my swing. After just reading a few pages of your book and looking at approximately 35 minutes of your dvd videos. I went out that same week and starting hitting drives consistently and wayyyy long. I hit 2 drives of 300 yards. I am being completely honest, I know that I am not long but have the ability in me to do so. I also shot my first official sub 90 round of 88 on November 10th. I can not tell you how excited I am. I can not wait to finish the DVD. I now understand that I am a One Plane swinger and what that means. Mr. Hardy thank you for helping me to enjoy the game.

Jim, I just wanted to drop a short note to tell you what a great job you did w the DVD set. I'm an engineer, an information junkie, and hooked on golf...so I have a ton of instructional material in both book and video form. This is the ONLY work that I could watch, take to the range once, and take to the course and see immediate improvement. Certainly the results weren't perfect, but there was definite improvement. The DVD answered a lot of the questions I had on positions and the 'whys' in the one plane swing. The drills were also very useful and I was finally able to understand what I need to do with the right arm in the downswing and actually do it. To me, much of the one plane swing is very "counter-intuitive" so this was a tremendous boon. I've recommended it to a friend who was thinking of quitting due to back problems who might be able to do the 2 plane swing. My only wish is that I could get an edited version so I don't have to watch/fast forward thru the 2 plane information...I understand why you did it, but it's less convenient to use once you've chosen the way you want to go. Maybe I'll try to edit it myself over the coming cold PA winter :) Any thoughts of doing a "faults and fixes" type of article for the one plane? Or applying the one plane to pitching (I've been struggling with that..going back and forth). Now if I could just find something as good as your DVD for my putting :) thanks for a great product.

I just ordered the DVD's. Why? I've been reading the book and what a difference in performance. I can't believe it's so easy now to make the ball stay in the fairway. Thanks, Jim. PS
